You might think from movies and TV shows that hypnosis is all about mind control and brain washing. Yet it’s not, and it’s actually the ultimate state of self-control. There are 5 elements needed for brain washing and we don’t use any of them!
How does hypnosis work?
Hypnosis involves slowing down your brain activity to the Theta wave state, like meditation. Unlike meditation, hypnosis includes the focus on positive behaviour changes and what you want in your life.
Does hypnosis help with nervous system regulation?
Yes! The relaxation and positive suggestions of hypnosis help you to experience the calm and relaxation resulting from being in the parasympathetic “rest, digest and repair” mode of the nervous system. Hypnosis can reduce the negative health effects of long term high levels of adrenalin and cortisol stress hormones when you are in the sympathetic “fight, flight or freeze” stress mode.
